Have had a phone call to say that there is a place for Jinley to start Agility Training next week!  This has caused great amusement in our house as she is not the most energetic dog  :005: :005: and from 6pm at night there is no moving her from the sofa!!

My OH thinks it will be me who is having to go over the jumps with Jinley taking the short -cuts.   :shades: :shades:

Does anybody else have a lazy cocker who manages Agility?

Pat, I was just thinking about you. Xxx

I'm sure once Jinley sees what it's all about she will have a blast, can't wait for updates xxx

We do agility with Molly, and in our class there is a 14 year old collie cross who is the most chilled out dog I've ever seen!  He just trundles along at his own pace, jumps only if he feels like it, and misses one or two weaves out as it's far too much effort for him  :005: but he loves it!

That sounds exactly like me and Barney.  I got the shock of my life when, after three months of agility at Barney's plodding pace, I started with whirlwind Pippa  :fear2:  I now actually have to run.

Both mine enjoy it though.  I hope you and Jinley do too, Pat.

You will love it and so will jinley. Once she understands what she has to do she will fly round.

I'm looking forward to hearing how Jinley gets on - as I recall she was the fastest of the 3 cockers on the early walks and could zip through the trees like the weaves :D

Penny is going to start in July. We already do some at the end of the training class and she pops over the jumps and through the tunnel no bother. Seesaw is regarded with suspicion and we haven't tried weaving poles yet. I wouldn't want her to go much faster or I couldn't keep up!

We did try  :005: 6 week course, but Willow being the laziest cocker on earth  >:D it just wasn't going to be.  She completed the course, just took her three times longer than the others  >:( :lol2:   Good luck.

Max's ideal life is eating & sleeping, my family can never believe that he does agility, so trust me, even the laid back calm cockers come to life at agility  ;)
