Does anyone on here have Sky broadband or the see, speak, surf package, and would you recommend it?

Any comments welcome.  :D

Thanks Emma, I found that. Has anyone else got an experience with them.
Changing ISP is like jumping of the edge of a cliff imo.  ph34r

We tried to move to sky but couldn't as we do not have adsl available in our area - we are stuck with NTL/Virgin Media for now!

Sky were very helpful tho!

I love them, I haven't had any problems at all, it was connected within 8 days of first phoning and I have never lost connection or had any glitches. I don't have the phone with them though so I guess I have the 'see surf' option for the tv and b/band which costs me £23/month which is pretty bargainous really. I have found them nothing but pleasant and helpful to deal with which makes a nice change these days!  :005:

No sports, movies or kids stuff but everything else other than that. All the music, documentaries, house and cookery stuff, news, E4, Living TV and all that  :D

I have sky broadband too.  We find we have to reset the router (I think that is what it is) quite often as all of a sudden it just stops working.  However most of the time it is great plus is is free!! :D

Erm, no, sorry  ph34r :005:  What do you mean? When I signed up they basically asked me what I watched and I said everything except the movies, sport and kids tv so that's what I've got... I think  ph34r

OK, just told OH about this thread, he's the one in the know!  :005: Apparently there is a bug, I am now going to type what he says to give you the info

'If you go to your router (address 192.168.0.1) in IE (Internet Explorer), on the left hand menu there is an option called UPnP, this will bring up an additional menu in the centre of the screen which will have an option "turn UPnP on". The box next to it will be ticked, untick it, click apply and your router will be a lot more stable.'

OH reads a lot of techy forums etc and he found this out on one of them, apparently sky don't know about it.... why hasn't somebody told them? LOL!

  For the basic Sky package you choose 2,4 or 6 of the entertainment mixes. Just wondered how many you had got.  :D

Ahhh! I have the Music, Variety Mix, News&Events, Knowledge and Style and Culture.. I remember now when I signed up to the Digital TV I managed to sweet talk the guy into letting me have 5 of the packages for the price of 4 instead of the 3 months free sports and movies they were offering at the time  :shades: I pay £17.99 per month for the TV and £5 for the broadband.
