Blurry photos

Does anyone know of any program or software that will remove blurriness (sp?) from a digital photo?

Is the blurryness because the photo is out of focus? or is it due to something else?

If the photo is out of focus there isn't really that much you can do to sort it out, otherwise depending on your photo editing software there will be something in there to help.

What Aearoniel says basically... if the photo is out of focus then there isn't really anything you can do to 'fix' it. Otherwise the best photo editing software out there is Adobe Photoshop.

I dont think it's out of focus, I think there is something else causing it.

I have the standard adobe photoshop on my laptop and this didn't fix it. Is there a more up to date/better version I can get that might help?

Sorry missed this, your best option to get rid of blur not caused by an image not being in focus would be a resolution issue perhaps? try resizing the image making it smaller see if that helps. Otherwise without seeing it I can't think of what would help you out.

Hi Lainy,

When I make it smaller the blurriness goes away, so it must be a resolution problem.

This is the photo:

My fingers are well and truly crossed.  I love the photo, it's just a shame about the blurriness!!

It's a low res picture. There's not a lot can be done. A professional might be able to do a bit more - but it can't put quality there that isn't to start with sadly.

Sorry it couldn't be sorted it is a really nice picture of them, perhaps you could keep it as a small picture anyway :) I try to take all my pictures on the highest resolution my camera has (it does RAW images so they are pretty huge) but it's worth it to get the quality. :D

Thanks Aearoniel, It was my mum's camera and it's not the greatest.  I hate to boast, but my camera is much better!!   :005:
