dogs helping other dogs
« on: January 18, 2012, 09:02:40 PM »
I am sure everyone has a story of their dogs helping other dogs but oscar did me proud a couple of days ago.
He was playing around with this 6 month old border terrier near the river ouse which is a nice clean river and perfect for dogs but in a few odd places the bank is difficult for some dogs to get out. anyway oscar swims to a suitable place and manages to climb out but the border terrier was having difficulty. Oscar who is standing a few feet away then goes and pulls the border terrier by his collar out of the river. Ok i think he could have just been playing and pulling him but i had to pull oscar out several times a few months ago so i like to think he knew the dog was having troubles getting out.
Anyway of course i have told everyone of his hero status   well to me he is anyway. just thought i would see if any of you have similar experiences.

No similar experiences as yet but I do think Oscar knew what he was doing in pulling the little dog out  by the collar. I'd be very proud of Oscar if he was my dog! Great story!
