I have not been on here for ages so apologies but we lost Orin on Tuesday he was pts. He had dementia, heart mumour but not bad, but it was his diabetes that got him, he became non responsive to insulin and quickly built up ketones which would have required 24/7 hospitalisation and many thousands of pines and no guarantee he would make it, he had lost a lot of weight and was blind and over the last 3-4 months had stopped going for a walk and just slept and ate. He had his last holiday in wales at mom mums with us 3 weeks ago and lived it.
To say we are devastate is an understatement and as he was my dog and my shadow I am feeling it really hard. He has left such a big hole in my heart I don’t know how to begin to get over it esp at this time of year.
To make it worse we went to a Christmas fair today and there were couple of cockers but they weren’t him .
He was 13 and half.

so sorry to hear your sad news ,it is so sad to watch our special little cockers reach the end of their journey with you
It sounds as though he was much loved. I think we all know how hard it is to come to terms with the cocker shaped hole they leave behind.
I take comfort that when ever I see a rainbow I know my lost cocker is just coming in to check I'm ok.
take care,

So sorry. The time we have with our beloved companions is so short but the love that they give us lasts a lifetime. Hang on to all those wonderful memories, at the present time they bring you pain but eventually you‘ll smile whenever you think of Orin, he hasn’t left you, you just can’t see him in anymore.
Run free over the Bridge little one. :luv:

So sorry to read your sad news, it is always a blow even when you know it is the kindest thing.
Be kind to yourselves and try to remember the happy times (I know it's hard right now) you had with your lovely boy.
