Title: Camera help
Post by: GinnyB on November 12, 2012, 02:18:16 PM
I'm looking for a camera for my son for Christmas and would like it to be a compact but one which will take a decent quality photo. He is pretty good at photography and up to now has used a Lumix compact which he damaged whilst on a cadet camp in the summer. I like the quality of the Lumix but I'd like his new camera to have wifi capability.

I've seen a Samsung WB850F at around £240 but I have no experience of Samsung cameras and wondered if anyone had any opinions on them or could suggest an alternative. I'd prefer not to pay more that £250  :shades:

You could try the Sony ones..I have had two of these little ones and really found them good and easy to use. I am no Davina Bailey, but I do like clear prints.

Isn't it difficult holding your nose whilst taking a picture?  :005:

If I were you I'd google a few reviews of the camera - they're usually by photography magazines who know what they're talking about and do a specific set of tests of a camera's capability and show some photos. eg:

There are so many cameras on the market, you'll be lucky to find someone on here with that specific model! (I'm a Canon girl myself, so no help I'm afraid on Samsung).
