Email Notification Of Replies
« on: January 01, 2006, 10:08:30 PM »
More often than not, when replying or posting a thread I tick the box that says "Enable email notification of replies?" . For the past couple of weeks I haven't been receiving hardly any e mails to tell me someone has posted a reply, or those i do receive arrive a few days late   .

Is this a COL site problem or a problem at my end? I am receiving all other e mails ok though

I also keep getting "flood control" when replying to some topics - what's that?

Thanks  :)

HERE's an explanation of the "flood control" error :) Not sure about the email notification as I never have this switched on but have you tried setting it via your Control Panel (email settings)? No idea if it will help but worth a try :D

I have changed my control panel settings to default, not sure if it will make any difference but we will see. Its really strange as I have just received about 15 e mail notification of replies within the space of ten minutes    Some are for replies posted nearly a week ago

ah I understand flood control now, thanks Jane. I wasn't sure if the two were connected  ;)

Cheers

No one else had added to this thread so it must just be me! I am changing internet providers in a week or two so hopefully that may make the difference  :)
