Just a reminder to all members and breeder members
We have noticed recently that some members are being PM'd directly by breeders offering puppies for sale, while this is not strictly against forum rules, we do advise caution if you are contacted in this manner.
If a breeder does contact you they MUST have sought Admin permission BEFORE contacting you, also for a breeder to offer puppies for sale they MUST have previously confirmed to COL Admin that the following statements apply to them:
The Breeders Kennel affix is registered with the UK Kennel Club.
The Breeder registers ALL of their litters with the UK Kennel Club - including any other breeds.
The Breeder is a member of The Cocker Spaniel Club.
The Breeder has current eye (and preferably hip score) certificates available.
If you, the member, are in any doubt that the breeder who contacted you has not contacted COL Admin first or cannot confirm and prove that the above statements are true then please contact a forum Admin or Moderator who will advise you further.
Similarly if you, the breeder, are in any doubt about contacting members directly then contact a COL Admin or Moderator BEFORE contacting a member.
Breeders who do not adhere to the above rules will have their accounts deleted from the system.
Note to buyers/breeders.
It is YOUR responsibility to check any information given by the buyer/breeder. CockersOnline will not enter into any dispute you may have with a buyer/breeder. CockersOnline cannot be held responsible or liable for any contract entered into (verbal or otherwise) between yourself and a buyer/breeder.
