We had family shots (ie us and the dogs) done last year by Venture. Absolutely excellent shots but they're pretty expensive. This year we are getting new updated ones done courtesy of Nicola (fellow COLer and now neighbour) and her super duper photography skills. Much better rates too  ;)

Mum to cockers Lily, Lance and Krumble and lurchers Arwen and Lyra. Hooman sister to Pepper, 13.

Phil, have PM'd you  ;)
Dogs are natural optimists and believe if they stare hard enough and long enough, the icing on the cake could be theirs.

Depending on how far you want to travel, but this lady has done 1000's of animal photo portraits. Click on her portfolio to see if you like her work, she's reasonably priced too. :D

I have to say that Tracy Morgan - Animal Photographer is absolutely fantastic.  I had photos taken of Douglas and Marvin last year at London Cocker Champ show and was thrilled with the results.

I have also used John Jackson who is a photographer for Our Dogs - he has taken some wonderful photo's of me and my boys ... he is over this weekend so will be getting him to take a new photo of me and my 4 boys and 1 of Oliver.

I am thinking of getting some done of mabel , I have had a couple of comments that have made me think about spending the money on a new lens and giving it a go....

I suppose some of it comes down to cost, and how good the pro photographer is at getting a repore with Mabel to get the right shot

I'd still be interested in peoples experiences as I want to get the best photo of mabel possible

Cheers
Phil

ps, thanks everyone for the links and pm's, its been great info so far

isn't there a member on here who's husband is a photographer and does great pet shots?

I expect you're after good studio shots rather than outdoor ones?

Hi,  a photographer/artist I've used in the past - albeit not for pics of our boys - but who I'd suggest you speak with is Neil Tate.

Neil does all kinds of work.  He puts lots of effort into getting it right for you (I sometimes wonder how he can afford so much time on any one project with the reasonable prices he charges).

He has a website: www.neiltategallery.com which shows some of his work and gives contact details.

I know he can do photography, and prints onto all kinds - canvas etc
