new camera?

we will be picking up Rosie in a little over 2 weeks now and of course our camera up and decides to die its totally dead but i dont blame it as its very old any suggestions for a new camera i dont want anything to expensive or huge just something small and relatively cheap preferably lumix as it has been recommended but dont really mind  :D

I'm still using my Lumix TZ7, absolutely love it.  Will definitely get another Lumix if this one eventually dies.

budget wise very low  >:( we have decided on the fs40 it seems pretty good and a friend recommended it and her parents own a printer so hopefully she will know :lol2:

I'd be careful with the TZ20 and the TZ30 (the TZ20 replaces the TZ10 and the TZ30 replaces the TZ20) as they've been criticised for having poor image quality compared to the TZ7/TZ10 and rival cameras.  The TZ25 (the stripped down version of the TZ30) strangely seems to get better reviews for image quality:

I was just about to say the same thing John, I had the TZ10, so upgraded (or so I thought) to the TZ20 - and it's absolute rubbish, picture quality is poor, flash is dreadful, it's now sat in the box and gone back to the TZ10.

ok so i got the lumix fs40 in the post yesterday and i am very pleased with it aspecially for the price we got a usb a charger the camera a battery but dident get any memory card  :embarassed: but anyway th picture quality is good and there are loads of settings so i am very happy over all cant wait to get some pics of Rosie  :luv: :luv: :luv:
