Well done :D :D
We're Def thinking about signing up for fostering.

Just a thought, be aware that the best rescues who do this often require your own dogs to be neutered when they are at an age they can be (as you often have to take in dogs before they are neutered, plus their philosophy is bound to be pro-neutering anyway)!
Oh its such a shame. Poor you.
I hope he gets sorted, poor thing he must be so distressed.
I agree you can't put your family at riskx

well tbh we could keep out of his way to see if he would settle but he hates millie.i don't understand it.now if he hated mad paddy that would make some sense but they love each other(literally paddy was flirting with bayley and then bayley tried to hump paddy) i just feel i have let him down and i am really upset for the poor little fella.paddy will sulk for weeks i think he really has taken a shine and seemed to have found another dog with as much energy as he has.
It is a shame but thanks ever so much for trying for him Lyn. We do appreciate it. I hope it won't put you off fostering again. (I have PMed you on DP)
We will pop Bayley into kennels over xmas (we have actually freed up a space today that we hadn't anticipated which is a relief), which will give him some space and give us some time to consider quite which of our experienced foster homes is going to be the best for his needs.
He clearly has not been properly socialised and need to learn some appropriate behaviours and be trained out of his inapproprite response patterns. I am sure he must be feeling very unsettled and is probably quite stressed as he has been through a lot of change in a few days. He will probably need some fairly long term attention to sort him out. It will not be a quick fix I don't think.
So sorry you have had to put up with the problems Lyn, but we will have him back tomorrow.
Have a restful xmas!

oh alison i only blame myself not anyone else, and certainly not you.i have just spoken with sara and she is going to try and pick him up in the morning at about 9.i don't think paddy is ever going to forgive me(i think pads may be gay  )i think bayley has attached himself to paddy and he is protecting him from everyone else.if millie were not here i would perservere because you can see he is going to make a great dog for someone.if you had been beaten for nothing you would prob react in a similar way.this will NOT put me off fostering in fact the reverse is true i am more determined than ever.if bayley had been socialised from an early age he wouldn't have the problems faced now.it's so sad. :( he is sleeping now, when i came upstairs bayley was asleep in the store room, paddy is asleep in bed with jim and millie howled the house down(must be the shock she hasn't done that since the first week)but she is now asleep and snoring her little head off on the sofa.
she wet herself :(
:o :o :( :( Aaaww Lyn, so sorry it didn't work out for you but at least you tried, like you said Millie has been through enough and this would have stressed her out even more and who knows it may have set her back. I still think you are still just as wonderful and at least now we know Charlie is with Jane he will be safe and very well looked after so you don't have the worry of whats happening to him over xmas.
I think you are both absolutely wonderful :D
We were concerned about putting him into kennels given the 3 months he spent locked in a shed and being beaten to the extent he suffered a serious eye injury....

:( :( How very cruel can people be, totally baffles me, something I will never ever understand :(
jim is gutted.he is now convinced that paddy will look like bailey in a years time but i am sure pads won't be so tall.

We think he's probably all Worker, Lyn so I doubt Paddy will get quite as tall. When I was grooming Bayley tonight, I found he has rear dew claws, something you hardly ever see in show-type Cockers but is v common in Workers. He's probably got some kangaroo blood too going by how easily he can get over our baby gate

merry christmas jane and a happy new year
jan his name is bailey, not charlie
  oops sorry!  I got mixed up with charlie on the other thread
Beautiful picture Jane :D
More pics of Bayley - it's taken a while to get any decent ones as except when he's sleeping, he's pretty much in perpetual motion  ('scuse Sage's bum on the second photo)

Jane , he is stunning :D
ooh sage is stunning too :) seriously though,i am glad things have workrd out for bailey.he really is a great dog(except for his total hatred of millie :( )jim now says it was millies fault. that she growled at him(she didn't)and if i hadn't gotten millie we could have kept bailey  he is soooo sulking about it all  i dare not show him the latest pics.he will never forgive me

He didn't like all our dogs to begin with Lyn but he learns quickly & now there is just a little friction with our older boy which I imagine will fade as time goes on (and the neutering takes effect ;)) so hopefully this side of his personality won't put people off offering him the home he deserves :)
Jane
I'm just to damn sensible for my own good
Nothing wrong in being sensible ;) .If everyone put as much thought and consideration into getting a pet there wouldn't be pets like these looking for new homes in the first place IMO. :)
The right dog is out there for you somewhere :)
