O.K Before i buy myself a Puppy I thought i would see if there are any older Dogs from Working stock that are looking for a home. if there are any available let me know, cash waiting ,home check not a problem. thebluemarlin@blueyonder.co.uk Thank You Gary

hi bluemarlin - you've probably seen the pinned post on this topic re the various cocker rescues - they would be your best bet as a starting point for rescuing.  

also - you may be tempted by the lovely black and tan show cocker on the site at the moment, or one of the poor ex-breeding bitches from manytears - they are definitely worthy of a loving new home

I am currently fostering a 2 year old black Working Cocker dog for Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue but he would need to go to an experienced Working Cocker or Springer home.

Just to clarify
Before i buy myself a Puppy I thought i would see if there are any older Dogs for sale, that are not going to "make the grade" as shooting dogs, that will suit my needs.
I need a bitch that will push rabbits and the occasional Pheasant out of heavy cover, for my Harris Hawk.Needs to be ok with children,broken 2 stock/ferretsand be of a reasonably steady disposition.  I can offer an Experienced Home with other Dogs [2x crossbreed bitches]Reply by PM please
