Hi
As I've said on previous posts, although we have had Cosby for almost 3 years, I'm just getting interested in breeding and breeding lines etc since we bought our second dog, Boo. Probably because this time around, we did some research and bought Boo from a good breeder.
Anyway, Boo is a Mossdew Cocker. I've stayed in touch with Sylvia, the breeder and I've done a bit of Research on other Mossdew Cockers so I was just wondering if there were any other Mossdew Cockers out there (Mother Rhuston Silver Charm at Mossdew).
Boo's dad was Winterstale Staus Quo - anyone got a Winterstale dog?

Nothing current I'm afraid, in our 3 we have Mossdew in generations ,7, 8 & 9 respectively (for Benji a light blue roan - Irish Show champion Mossdew Sirius born 18/11/1980).

I've been away over the weekend and haven't chacked COL. So I was surprised to see 3 posts on this thread.
Anyway, nice to see a few more Mossdew Relatives out there - to be honest I thought there may have been more - Mossdew's have been around a while from what I can see.

Silver Dollar is Boo's Grandad (sired Rhuston Silver Charm at Mossdew - Boo's Mam). So it looks like Boo and Rolly are long lost relatives!

Yes I don't think Sylvia has a website for Cockers anymore. She does have a general website which is http://www.kind-care.ndo.co.uk/index.html however this is more for the boarding kennels business. There is a section about breeding but it is under development

Yes Izzy (Mossdew Blue Heaven) is a Mossdew Cocker by Status Quo and out of Rhuston Silver Charm at Mossdew , she's now 5 months old and very lively.

Oh I've just read this and now I'm excited (sad I know). So Izzy must be Boo's sister form the same litter. I'll have seen her when we went to pick Boo- although obviously I have no idea which one she was. Do you have any photos, I'd love to see what the rest of the litter look like.
We're going to take Boo up to see Sylvia and Reg in the next Couple of weeks, I can't wait to see what her two look like.
It's funny you say she's very lively - we think Boo is the most laid back cocker puppy we've seen, he's a joy to have around. Perhaps that's because our other dog was such a handful, he just seems relaxed!!

I do have some pictures but I haven't worked out how to post them yet.
We picked Izzy up from Sylvia & Reg just after Christmas, we had lost the younger of our two girls at the beginning of December and her mum was really depressed. Both Millie and Tiggy were really chilled as pups, but Izzy is more like my first cocker who was a bit of a minx.
I suspect if you collected Boo before Christmas, Izzy was the one dragging the other pups around by their ears. Unfortunately she hasn't grown out of this habit and poor Millie's ears are getting longer by the day. Millie has the patience of a saint bless her, but is 13 now and does get a bit fed up of her.

Sylvia did mention that a women who had recently lost one of her dogs, was coming to take one of the litter - that must have been you. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss - I hope having the little one around the house is helping to ease the pain.
Boo was always biting Cosby's ears and hanging off them when we first got him, but Cosby has soon put a stop to that - there is no love lost between the two of them.
As soon as you figure out how to post pics, you'll have to put some on. I can't wait to see what she looks like. Boo is so small and very furry!! It would be interesting to see if they looked alike! I'll be putting some new ones of Boo on in the next week so keep a look out if youre interested
