Hope you don't mind me asking to see if anyone has had any experience of this. Last October we took our 11 year old boy, Buster to the veterinary hospital as he was having a few problems with incontinence. He sometimes has an accident in the house and when he has a tiddle outside he walks off but he is still "going". The vets had him in for a day and carried out all of the tests for the "c" word, etc and the only explanation they could come up with was that his schpincter ( sorry about spelling!) muscle could be weakened due to him being castrated a couple of years ago. At first the vet put him on some syrup medication but after one cycle of that changed him over to Enurace tablets, half a tablet in a morning and half at night. It's mums job to give them to him and I never, ever miss a dose. He is now coming to the end of his second lot of 100 of these tablets and I'm getting more and more worried about him. He doesn't seem to have as many accidents in the house but his weight has really dropped to a worrying level. He also has quite dry skin. They are all on a good premium food ( Arden Grange). He is due for a repeat prescription at the end of this week but I've told Phil that I want the vet to look at him as I am so worried about his weight drop. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any experience of this and of using the Enurace and if the dry skin and weight loss could be a side effect or is it just his age? Thank you for any help/advice you could offer
