Lela has come to the end of her season, which has been pretty uneventful. But I have noticed that she has swollen teats and is eating all her food straight away, which is very unlike her. She has also been a bit grumpy (also very out of character) guarding her food and being a bit growly with my youngest daughter.
The vet mentioned phantom pregnancies are very common, but not sure what to expect and if her behaviours are normal??
By the way there is absolutely NO chance she is pregnant!

It surely does sound like a phantom. Her behaviour is normal (for a phantom :005:) Bitches are all different and signs can run the range from very mild to full blown milk producing and taking toys and other objects to be her "babies"
Most of the time it will end on it's own. If she's producing milk, some breeders recommend fasting her for 24 hours to dry it up. If she starts nesting or guarding toys as surrogate babies, take them away, and use caution around your daughter and her toys
