Title: Can I put meat in a Kong and freeze it?
Post by: Sprinkles on August 12, 2012, 09:02:25 AM
We always have left over bits of chicken/beef/ham etc and I fill a kong and top it with peanut butter or cream cheese etc.

Can I freeze this so it lasts longer for him whilst we are out or will it upset his tummy? (He eats horse poo and dead animals anyway!  :shades:)

Thanks

Yep, I do this, particularly when it's going to be a hot day :)

I freeze chicken, ham, salmon mousse, carrot, peanut butter etc in a kong, take it out the freezer about 45 mins before he has it.

i put a bit of kibble in the kong then add either primula cheese or ham or even chappie tinned meat and then freeze it and i give it to them 5 minutes before i go out , it keeps their minds occupied and lasts for longer that way  ;)
