Brodie doesn't eat them - but she does torture them >:D. I spotted a large one in the hall the other day there and tried to get Brodie past it without her seeing it - totally failed and the poor spider ended up getting chewed and pawed to death. She likes to pick them up and carry them about, occasionally spitting them out to watch them crawl about. I'm terrified of them, but don't like seeing this... Unfortunately if you go near her she'll pick them up and run off, so it's bye bye spider!
She will eat daddy longlegs though, they are a firm favourite of her :P
-
Yup, got one here too, especially anything that happens to be landed on the walls - he loves to squash them. He's got a fascination for flies as well and jumps up the patio window to get them. uggg!! :005:

Pearl does this too :005: last night she caught a huge spider in the kitchen and carried it round for ages - she was shaking her head so it must have tickled :005: finally, after being pounced on until it stopped moving she ate it - ewwwww!
-
Yes! The other night I had to call Juno in to catch one because I'm a magnificent wimp and it was taunting me from the floor!
-
yes same here but is not just spiders anything that moves fly's etc
-
Ollie come and asks his mum to move them :lol2:
-
Yeh Olli and sometimes saves half for later :020: :005:
-
Yep, just last night I saw one running across the carpet. I quickly pointed it out to Pepper and he rushed over, put it in his mouth straight away and then spent the next few minutes rolling it around on the tip of his tongue. I half expected to see a leg or two pop out but fortunately Pepper must have decided it was worth swallowing after all. :005: :005:
-
gemma too. picks them up and carries them. Spitting them out and picking up again. Final spitting out is followed with a paw squwish and quick chomp.
Actually now made myself feel ill

Oh yes, Jess just loves spiders, the bigger the better. She chases them and eats them, she regards them as a tasty mobile snack, with built in entertainment factor.
And the grossness is extreme. What does me in, is seeing the odd leg or two hanging out of Jess's mouth. Ick ick ick....
-
Nope - Smudge never bothers with creepies (thank goodness) - gentle little chap, he prefers to leave spiders in peace in their websites ;)

This is why I refuse cuddles and kisses for quite a while afterwards!!

If anyone wants to lend me their spider snaffling cocker I would be eternally grateful ;) ;)
Scared stiff of the orrible things but have 2 cockers that don't seem to notice them

Callie is the same, and thankfully the cat, a huge one ran across our living room floor, Callie sat and watched it, pawed it to see it move, picked it up a couple of times, legs wriggling out of her mouth, then promptly chewed it up and ate it..............made me cringe big time, but was glad she did it, it was MASSIVE ph34r

Albie loves torturing creepy crawlies and plays for hours torturing earwigs on the fence but Otto wouldn't dream of it...anything like spiders scare him to pieces...we laugh that his little brother has to protect him from the big bad spiders :005:
-
Phoebe might eat spiders BUT if a bluebottle comes in the house crikey she's off like a whippet :005: she's frightened to death of them :005: x x x
-
Yes! Bugs, spiders, bluebottles they love them all! Torture them first and then eat them.
I just have to be careful because they think wasps and bees are fun to play wih too! ph34r

:005: :005: Another one here :o
I've just filled in my water feature because baby frogs are also on the menu :dunno: :020:
-
Muffin likes to give them a sniff and a lick and put her paw on top. They don't seem to move after that :005:
We had a cat who liked to eat them which was gross as the legs didn't all fit in his mouth :P

How very continental of him/her!! I could post you some Frog's legs if you like, we can buy them in the supermarket here in Belgium!!
-
Millie eats them too, and I've recently caught her killing caterpillars! Her favourite thing every morning is to see how many slugs she can disembowel :020: :020:
Once she was screaming like a banshee at the patio doors, when I went to look (thinking there was a squirrel or a cat in the garden) I saw it was because of a snail slowly crawling across the decking :rofl1: :rofl1:
-
My first family dog didnt eat them - oh no that would be too "normal" for a pooch, she sniffed them...... Yes all spiders were "sniffed" up her nose.
-
Milly likes to give them a close up sniff before giving them a friendly pat with her paw, or both paws if she's in playful mood.
Last week she sniffed a big one but got a bit too close. She lifted her head with a squished spider on the end of her nose, legs sticking out at all angles.
Dot & I fell about laughing as we could swear she went cross eyed trying to look at it. :005:
-
Thankfully Lady isnt interested in creepycrawlies as numerous species are poisonous/deadly if she were to get bitten. However, our last cocker had a taste for stag beetles!!
-
Woofie loves to catch spiders (and moths), sometimes he will bring them to you with the legs dangling from his mouth!!!!
Normally though he is another torturer ... he spits them out, plays with them and then puts them in his mouth and starts again ... yuck!
I keep telling my OH that Woofies eyesight isn't what it used to be but he can spot a spider from the other side of the room!
-
Ozzie tends to squash them with her nose. :lol2:
-
Millie isn't bothered ... Jennie and Hazel on the other hand :005:
Moths usually - with 2 spaniels doing anything they can to get as high as possible with a view to launching themselves at said moths, flying spaniels, or is that falling spaniels? :005:
Sometimes OH will pick one of them up and hoist them up to where the moths are for them to eat them ph34r
