« on: September 08, 2014, 08:42:52 PM »
hi guys, is it safe to put a small amount of Vaseline on the skin around my dogs eyes, im looking for something that is ok to use close to her eyes that will soften her skin.  she has allergies and has been rubbing her eyes making the skin dry.  thanks.

Can't see why not - just don't get it in her eyes  ;)  A bit of coconut oil might work too

Have you thought of using a cooled tea bag, one for each eye to avoid any cross infection. It can be very soothing.   :D

Thanks Sirius Mum.  :clapping:

Milly sometimes gets a bit of eye irritation after plunging into some of her favourite bushes and long grass when we take our two for walks.

Tried your suggestion this afternoon and both our two really seemed to enjoy it. So much so that they spent the next few minutes licking each others eyes  :005: Great suggestion, Ta very muchly.

Bob.
