Wart Removal
« on: May 04, 2026, 05:16:39 PM »
Hi,
Humphrey?s had a pea sized wart on the top of his head for quite a while, the vet?s always been reluctant to remove it as it would involve full anaesthetic but a couple of weeks ago he ripped it open on a thorn and every time it stopped bleeding he?d manage to rub the scab off and it was becoming a problem and I was worried it would become infected.. The vet was umming and ahhing and I asked about freezing it, he suggested it was worth a try and told me to get something from the chemist and try it myself!
I wasn?t too keen especially when the chemist suggested we?d have to hold him down  >:D. so I  roped in a friend to do it while I fed him treats!  :005: and it worked really well !! he didn?t even seem to notice it.  After a week, there only a small scab left which presumably will also fall off in due course.
If anyone?s interested, its called Endwarts Freeze, it cost around ?20 and there?s enough for a couple more treatments if necessary.
