What age to pups normally open their eyes??
« on: July 13, 2012, 10:28:50 AM »
As the title says really. I have a litter of pups who are 13 days old today. If you go by the " Book of the Bitch" it says 7- 10 days before they open their eyes. I know not all pups are text book , so I was just wondering what experience you guys had with your litters.
Thank you x

Bliss had a litter in February - eye opening for her x6 ranged from 10-15 days some had one open and one shut for a couple of days. Am sure it will all be fine ;)

My Willow had a litter born earlier in the year and all 6 of them had their eyes open at 7 days, it was a bit of a shock to me, I picked them up to weigh them and they were all staring back at me  :005:

But I've also had pups not open their eyes until around 14 days.
