Two workers here
If we take the throw they stick to me like glue, they are angels, Bella will carry it and drop it where she wants it throwing. Molly just follows Bella, they're never any further than a couple of metres in case throw disappears

If we don't have the throw we're in trouble, totally crazy, walked into next village yesterday throw less, absolute nightmare all over the place in the canal out of it, running further than I'd like, meeting and greeting, eating fishermans sweet corn, rolling in dead and smelly things, eating manure. Molly loves a good game of chase so will if one of her many friends is about, Bella just watches.

If on lead good, at home they pull until they get to the canal / field / footpath, beach, which is only a short distance. But is we're in unfamiliar teritory or a town they pretty much heel all the time.

Juno's a show type livewire on walks.  Often I'll just hear her in the cover parallel to the direction I'm walking in, and see a flash of white as she checks in with me.  I frequently hide or change direction just to make sure she's keeping an eye on me and a few seconds later I'll spot her following my scent to find me :luv: If I've got the clicker/dummy/tennis ball with me for some training (most walks) then I can't get rid of her!

Both of ours are show types.

On our walk in the lanes Emma has to be in front and sniffing, while Sophie is plodding along way back having a good sniff at everything, it takes forever to do our walk as we are constantly calling Sophie and going back for her.

In the park Sophie is like different dog, she cannot wait to get out of the car to chase a tennis ball, which she would do all day. Emma soon gets fed up of ball chasing, mooches around, then it's a battle to stop her heading off to the car, so she is put on a lead.

From reading the other posts it sounds as is ours are typical cockers  :luv: :luv:

Harry is two dogs in one. On his harness he's as good as gold and does his impression of a hoover for the first five minutes and then settles nicely. Funnily enough when we both walk with him he likes to be between us and walks on a slack lead and at our pace and its a most enjoyable walk. Then there's when he's off his lead, he goes zooming around in circles scenting everything and anything. When on the fields he barks like mad to play ball but when he gets the ball he usually runs off to lay down to try and chomp his way through it. After several fetches he just takes his ball home and sits on our doorstep until we get home which is only a matters of seconds from our local field. Harry is 8 months old and has just started to clock his leg. So the walks on the harness are beginning to take a lot longer than they used to.
