Ahh, bless her  :(  I hope she finds her really special home soon  :)

Bichons are white or cream, so this little girlie may be a bichon-x, but I think she looks like an cocker too - perhaps an Am Cocker?

That really got to me. I've donated what I'd have spent going out the other night, it breaks my heart to see so many being saved on their last day. How DARE these B******* treat these animals as dispoable once they have worn them out with breeding.

I can't look at those pictures it makes me so sad. All those ex-breeding bitches makes me cry  :(
I wish I had more room, I'd adopt them all. I hope 2006 brings them the loving forever homes they deserve.

I'm sure she's a full bred cocker, she looks very like my Nelly who also came from there.  They had quite a few black & tan bitches a few months ago, maybe the fashion for that colour is changing  :(

Was Billy from a puppy farm?  Maybe my Nelly is his mum?

If anyone is thinking of adopting her (Charmer that is, not Nelly, she's mine   )  I can tell you that these ex-breeding bitches are very rewarding.  Nelly is such a loving little (?) thing (OK, big lump   ), she's still quite timid in certain situations, but with Dillon beside her to make her brave, she's very very happy & waggy.  She just loves to be cuddled and climbs up on my chair every evening for a big mummy cuddle which sometimes gets a bit out of hand - she just doesn't realise how big she is

The ex-breeding bitches need to live with another dog to show them the ropes, but as you've all got at least one other dog, that makes you prime candidates for adopting  :D

Yes she's definitely a Cocker not a cross or a Bichon & I think you're right - black & tans are probably losing their popularity with the puppy farmers as they realise that chocolate/liver is rapidly becoming the "must have" colour :(

Yes he is probably a puppy farm pup  :( . His "breeder" address is South Wales so I suppose there is a chance Milly is his Mum too  :D . Billy is two now so don't know what age his mum would be. I don't suppose these farmers give the paperwork when they hand over the unwanted bitch to many tears so i suppose we'll never know. Billy is KC reg    so I do know the name of his mum.

I'd love to take on a rescue cocker, your post makes iit sound ssssooo tempting but to be honest I don't think Billy is the best role model at the moment

If Billy came from a puppy farm, there will be no way of knowing for sure who his mum is, I'm afraid puppy farmers fabricate the KC details, so it will be impossible to be certain.

Nelly is supposed to be about 3years old and in a puppy farm situation, she would have been mated on her first season at about 6 months of age, so she could be Billy's mum but we'll never know the answer for certain.

The ex-breeding bitches have no paperwork & even if they did, it would probably be all lies anyway.

If you're tempted to take one on, you could contact Many Tears & see what they say.  My Dillon certainly isn't a good role model either, but they hit it off right from the start & now they even curl up on a chair together when I go out

My two are both rescue dogs (Dillon was my first rescue dog) and they are both so loving it's unbelievable.  All my previous cockers have been very loving, but these two absolutely adore me, just the way they look at me with so much love in their eyes melts my heart daily.  I swear they are grateful for being given a good home.
