Any help appreciated - we are looking for a cocker to adopt into our home.  ideally must be house trained and good temperament.  In return we can offer lots of love, plenty of exercise (we have large garden and live 2 minutes walk from open countryside) and a happy future

if you log onto dog pages there are two or three in the private homes section and i think there are a couple in the rescues on there too.

We got Doug from Cocker rescue in south Yorkshire and He changed my life.
The best 50 quid I ever spent.
He wasn't even the one we went to see,the black and tan show type we wanted had gone.
I'm so glad it had.
Never had a working cocker before him and now I wouldn't have anything else.(well not strictly true as I am a sucker for dogs in general)
Go for it.

Both my Cockers came to me via DogPages.  All my previous dogs had been bought as puppies and I never thought I would love rescue dogs as much as dogs I'd had since their puppyhood, but oh my goodness, how wrong I was!  Rescue dogs love you back and the more love you put into them, the more they love you back :wub::wub::wub::wub:

My advice is:  GO FOR IT - get a rescue dog & see for yourself how your life will change for the better

DogPages is down at the moment.  Another good place to look for a rescue dog is
The Refuge It's not as busy as DogPages but there are many of the same members there

Sadly Dash doesn't do rescue these days.

I think if anything most people who go on to other forums note any cockers they see needing homes there and cross-post them here. As also said try cocker rescue as well. There may be a cocker (4 year old bitch) coming into rescue in my area (South Wales) but not sure what she's like yet.
