Lucky On The Refuge

Here's Lucky, they say he's a working type cocker although he looks a bit big to me.  Size isn't everything though, so maybe someone can offer him a good home?

Hi cindere528
I have just found CockersOnline and was about to post Lucky when I saw your link to him. That was very kind of you. Thank you.  :)

Here he is;

Lucky came from an Irish pound and has been in rescue kennels there since beginning of December as he had kennel cough.
He came to us on New years eve and we have found him to be a happy and extremely friendly boy. We think he is Cocker crossed with another type of gundog, perhaps Retriever as he is larger than a normal Purebred Cocker. He is about the size of a medium Springer Spaniel.
Lucky is very good off the lead but has no lead training! Would perhaps make a good agility dog as he can jump and comes to call.
He is almost house trained and is clean all night, just needs watching during the day for the odd little accident.
His main problem is that he is quite boisterous and will need some training to stop him from jumping on people and furniture, but he is improving daily.
If anyone would like more information my number is 07887928931.
We work in conjunction with Enfield Dog Rescue but live in Bucks, near jcn 7/8 M40.

We carry out home checks and ask for a reasonable donation to help with costs.

No problem - we allow recognised rescues to post without prior permission :) Hope Lucky find a home soon. His behaviour sounds very similar to our foster Cocker Bayley - I didn't know a Cocker could jump so high until I met him

Lucky is luvly. I hope  he is lucky. I would have him if I had the room and time but  unfortunately I haven't.

He looks about the size of  Zac who is a pure bred working cocker, just rather large. I think  may be it is a throw back to when springers were used to enhance working qualities in the olden days.

GOOD LUCK LUCKY!!!!!!

Lucky looks just like our Lucky. Groomer recons Cocker/springer but I'm not sure sometimes I think there may be a bit of a retriever in him. Some wokers are slightly leggier than others and Ally is quite a big boy too. Females tend to be smaller. I hope he finds his forever home soon , that first photo is heartbreaking. :(
Sea pigeon , you could cross post this to Spring thing as lots of working cocker lovers there. that is where we got Ally and maybee Freya could help you out.

He does look lovely, Spud is this size and is a working Cocker, he is bigger than
a Springer.
