Wondering how arrangements are going for Bayley - is there any chance of a meeting with your dogs Mark? It sounds like just the home Bayley is looking for if he would settle in.  :)

Good luck little man and a million thanks to Jane for helping Bayley in his hour of need and for helping him to enjoy a bit more of a normal life. His story is already quite a saga for such a youngster. My fingers are firmly crossed for him.

Have spoken to Alison at Hwar about Bayley and we got cut off.  :(
The general gist is that Alison is going to talk with the centre manager to see if we can get bayley to York or at least somewhere inbetween to meet with my two.
I think the place that would be best is a meeting at my house over a calm cup of tea and I have offered to pay travel costs to get him here.
Alison seems to think that It might be good If Jane, being someone who he has learned to trust acompanies him but I know this is a lot to ask.
Would really like to give this fella a go and they have my number so I guess I'll just wait and see what the rescue come up with.

I doubt it will be Sarah as she lives in Kent!! Shame though as she doesn't mind travelling as long as her petrol is paid for. However a triangle from Kent to Gloucestershire (where Bayley is) to York would probably be asking a bit much of anyone!!

I doubt very much we will be able to get anyone to drive all the way to York (we will try our best of course), but a meeting half way is probably not out of the question.....the rescue consists of merely a few volunteers - we are not a rescue with people employed etc!! Most of us have full time jobs and our own families to look after.  We do however do our best for our dogs and we commit ourselves to their care for their lifetime.  :)

Fingers crossed we can sort something out.

The problem is Helen that this weekend coming is no good for me, we have a real busy time at work and my boss says I can't get time off.
I think I need to be around at all times when he arrives to keep an eye on proceedeings so I have suggested the early part of the week after.
We will continue to try and sort it out.
I'll phone Alison today.

Mark, our phone line is playing up at the moment so I'm only getting online intermittently. If you or Alison need to contact me, then you have my number which will be diverted to my mobile at the moment until BT fix things. I've emailed Alison and said that Andrew could probably help taking Bayley at least half the way or maybe even all the way but it would have to be a weekend, possibly next weekend (Feb 5th/6th). I would much rather one of us was present if poss - it will make it easier for Bayley after all he's been through.

Jane thanks for your kind offer, It would be great if one or both of you could accompany him.
Weekends are when I am busiest at work but i will try and phone my boss to see if it is possible to take some holiday over that weekend.
Is there no way you could do mid week? Sorry to be a pain, jobs are a real pain in the backside but unfortunately a neccesary evil.
I'll phone work now to check it out.

No sorry Mark, mid-week is out for us - I don't have access to a car during the week and Andrew is at his busy time of year so no chance of being able to take a day off during the week at the mo. I'm sure something can be worked out though it might take a while :D
