I have to say all the owners of the  stud dogs i have used have been more than helpfull.

Fern took 3 attempts to have her first litter - and i was only charged one stud fee throughout!

When taking your bitch to a proven stud i think you need to accept the concequences to a certain extent, this running back and demanding your money back seems to be rife in our ever growing materialistic world! Especially when most stud owners will bend over backwards to offer an alternative!

It's only bloody money in the end!

When we mated our Cleo, she had an unsuccessful pregnancy. We were offered a free mate . We discussed what happened and the vets findings  and the breeder and I decided to use a different dog. I think is purely at their discretion and don't really have to offer a free mate. It is a goodwill gesture.
