poo bag question!
« on: September 15, 2012, 06:48:30 PM »
sorry for the wierd question but what does everyone do with your poo bags when they are "filled"(!) but no bin in sight?? I end up carrying it with it swinging from left to right and to be honest its pretty horrible (no bins where we live, very frustrating!) I dont particularly want to put it in my pocket as I dont like the thought of that but dont really like it hanging from my wrist, particularly as normally we are only just out the door when Sandon does a poo!!!
I have come across a container called a dicky bag (link below) they look pretty good and much better than the bag just hanging around but they arent cheap and I wondered if there are any better cheaper alternatives or what do you do??

Same here and I asked the same question re the dicky bags a while ago.  I decided not to go ahead and buy one as they as so expensive.  Recently I found this...

Don't know if anyone has tried one of these and if they are any good?

I just swing it, not the best fashion accessory but I figure at least people will see that I pick up!

thanks everyone, will have a good look at all...apparently if you order a dicky bag and put in *free-79* when ordering you get a free strap, not sure if this is still the case but worth a go

I have a Dooper which I prefer to scooping with hand in bag, then it's contained in the Dooper, but I keep it in a carrier bag until I get to a bin. However I'm liking the idea of the Popooki bags as when it's windy the carrier bag & dooper can be a challenge!

Agree,i swing my poo bag with pride so people know i'm not one of the disgusting people who walk my route and don't pick up.

Easy solution to not carry it in winter is double bag which cuts out all smell, but makes a great hand warmer in your pocket  :lol2:
People laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.

Very appropriate  ;)  :005:  :005:

I just carry it - but try to remember not to waive to anyone, did that once and accidentally let go...... and it went in someone's garden   ph34r

I wear a bum bag in summer and put it in that, though we are very lucky and have a lot of bins round our village.  If I am wearing my wax jacket in colder weather I put it in my pocket, though I do have to remember to take it out again  :005:

Ditto this but we are not too bad for poo bins on our various routes, always swing with pride on my way to one tho :005: :005:

Hi

Have you thought of contacting your MP and ask the question why there are no bins in your area, I'm sure yours as every other council would not wish to encourage litter and waste in their borough.

You may already know this, if so sorry  :016:

Where I live & I just assume everywhere else  we can put it into ANY bin  :police:

We had lots of posters to advertise the fact; by the "poo fairy"   ;)   As you might be sure we now have had lots of extra "dog bins" erected.   I think it must have all been in responce to a lot of people complaining that "if you want us to bin it the council must do something about the bins"
