Tunnel vision
« on: September 16, 2012, 07:31:44 PM »
As Gemma has been confined to barracks these past two weeks, today we took her to the flood banks for a walk. The beauty of the fens is the flatness of the land allows you to see for miles and seek out potential hazards (male dogs out for a jolly) Coast clear , as they say, off we trotted.
We had not spotted the flat fish (blended in with the flat landscape), but did manage to stop her mid head slide.
We were too slow to stop the bunny currant hovering, the mouse hole search and recovery and the buzz me if you dare bug game .
But she did flush a pheasant out of a dyke bottom, trouble here, she came out looking like something from "the little shop of horrors". A nice shade of green and brown with good coverage of fuzz balls.
Do you sometimes wonder why you bother?  Not at all, who would not love a stinky little monster thats shouting feed me  :-*
Run free and fly high my beautiful Gemma
