Purina Pro Plan Puppy Food
« on: July 20, 2004, 06:55:47 PM »
Hi there,

Another question!  We are feeding our 8 week old boy Purina Pro Plan Puppy which was recommended by the breeder.  Don't know anything about this food and wondered if anybody had any recommendations/advice.

Thanks!
MPG

Purina Pro Plan is a premium complete food used by many breeders. You should keep your puppy on the same food his breeder was feeding him for at least a week or 2 & if you do decide to change to another brand, then this should be done slowly & gradually over a period of days to avoid upsetting his tummy. I don't use Pro Plan myself but know quite a few people who do - it has a good reputation in breeder circles.

Thanks Jane, had only previously used Hills Science or Eukanuba so this was a new one to me.  Seems to agree with him so I'll stick with it unless this changes.

Best wishes,

I have just changed all my dogs over to Purina Pro Plan & have just reared a litter on it for the 1st time, I am very pleased with the results.
