I once viewed a litter from a black mum orange roan dad, the pups were the same as the photos, gold with white markings and black with white markings, I guess the black had gold in her pedigree.

I didn't get one, but they were certainly lovely pups!

Hi there,

what it cute puppy.
It looks like a colour-bred to me.. meaning one parent was probably a solid and the other a parti colour.
I used to work in a large cocker breeding kennel which is the only reason i know this.

i had a cocker exactly the same colour as him,,if you want can forward you a pic,,it,s the double of mine,,got mine from a working cocker breeder,and no,one believed she was a cocker,,let me know if you want a pic,,will be happy to send one,

He could be a golden ;)
because they are supposed to be lighter than red?
