I called our 'pups' breeder, and her parents are as follows:

Father: Bitcon Columbo at Islanza
Mother: Izlanza Avita (father: Glowhill Rob Roy)

Any rellies out there?

I've been looking on search engines as suggested, 'pups' grandsire Glowhill Rob Roy is features quite a lot - is he well known?

Lynwater russet is there  plently of others i dont think any glowhill dogs are on there but a few bitcons who may be in your pedigree

I wondered if Lottie has any relatives the same as any one else here.

One of her G G Grandparents if Cardamine Jumping Cracker.
Most of the rest of her pedigree is made up of Claramand and Asquannes.
I'd love to know if she shares any with other cockers here.

Hi Sheila, most of Bailey's Pedigree is Claramand, his father is Claramand Caruso who when I looked him up on the search engine seems to have sired lots of pup's :shock:  I've PM'd you with the rest of the list of Claramand and Asquannes in his pedigree and yes, it's great to know that your little one has relatives that you know of out there

I have just found that Bailey is related to Buttons - Gilly's dog as they shared the same great great great grandfather, very distantly related but related all the same :wink:

Morgan's dad is Caramand Up Front and he has loads of Asquanne's in his pedigree so may be some connections there!

I have been trying to find pictures/info about these dogs for ages but haven't had much luck at all.  Although in my quest I have found a pic of a gorgeous Cardamine Chocolate King if anyone has him in their pedigree and would like a copy.

I am particularly interested in getting a piccie of Cardamine Freckled King if anyone does have one I could have a copy of I would be over the moon!

I have also been thinking of writing to Pam Walker for months but kept putting it off thinking she must get inundated with letters about pedigrees all the time!

Thanks for all the links and suggestions, I'm really getting into this research now.

Another daft question from a Newbie, though; when looking at a pedigree posted on the web, what is the convention for the position of the Sire and Dam in the pedigree :?:  For instance, looking at Rob Roys pedigree on the following site:

which is the sire and which is the dam of Troubador?

I've downloaded a trial copy of "Tenset Technologies - Pedigree Assistant for Dogs" to start to put the information together, but would prefer to know which are 'dogs' and which are 'bitches'

Hi Rachel,

The sire is Mistfall Meddler and the dam is Sh Ch Bitcon Moonlight. The sire 's name is always above the dam's. Hope that helps.

    My Aimee is a SH CH Glowhill Rob Roy baby just a few weeks older than Islanza Evita. I know your breeder well.

If you want a photo of  Rob Roy I will send you some as I was up at Jane Mitchell's on Friday to have Aimee mated, so I took the chance to take some pics of both the father and grandfather of Aimee's  puppies (should she be lucky enough to have any).

PM me if you want a copy and I will email them to you. I have about 6 of Robbie. I also have a four generation copy of Robbies pedigree which I can scan in and also let you have.
