thanks for all your kind comments!!
I love his colour to he is like a mini red setter, i went to see a litter of gold's with the intention of getting a lighter gold, but he just stood out for me, the shine on his coat now he is a little older is breathtaking. My hubby was really impressed with him, originally he was gonna be my dog (a little girly for him) but now we fight for his attention although he woulld never admit it.

Hi, Kasper looks beautiful  :luv:

I have golden girly Willow 2yrs, and 5 month old liver roan Bracken. Willow is now quite red and people still mistake her for a red setter puppy!! Her coat is quite smooth and very shiney but now also has a lot of feathering (I thought it would never happen)

So far as destroying toys, mine are tennis ball shredders but I've discovered that they can't destroy those tiger/leopard furry animal print tennis balls from pet shops. So they just sit there in tact, not much fun!! Also Kong do more than just Kongs. We have their other shape things in tact. I had assumed mine destroyed everything because they have raw meaty bones so have very stong jaws but this might not be the case.

Pleased you are having so much fun and taking his cockerness in your stride.

Hi & welcome
Kasper is gorgeous.
We're owned by Millie, 18 month old black & white worker.
As you seem to have discovered, living with a cocker is like living with a permenant toddler in the house.
Glad she has fitted into your home so well, I also have an OH who wasn't expecting to have his heart stolen by a cocker.  :luv: :luv: :luv:

Hi I am new as we pick up our orange roan male puppy in 2 weeks (he will be 8 weeks). This is our first dog because we decided to wait until our four children were older (now 8 -18).  I am feeling rather nervous actually, but really excited too.  This forum is brilliant particularly the puppy version as it is giving me an idea of what to expect in the coming months.  Does anyone recommend any particular books.  I have already read "The Perfect Puppy" which is reasonably helpful - what do I know??

I feel like a pregnant first time mum - i.e. no idea.   Your dog looks gorgeous by the way.  I will post some pictures of ours when I work out how to use this computer!

Can't wait to see him x

I did not get Kasper until 12 weeks so i did not have to wait i took him home with me on the day, however you have the time to get everything organised. I bet the anticipation is killing you, and your right it is like having a new baby in the house, even more so i suspect when your kids are a little older and more independent.
I am sure you will have plenty of snuggles with your little one when he arrives and he will be more than happy to lap up all the attention x

(I am not an experienced Cocker owner, but i can however offer support and advise in relation to the puppy phase that we are currently in)

What a lovely lovely pup  :luv:

Our Bentley loves to rip tissues etc to confetti and toilet rolls now live on the window ledges of the loos!!   :o  He is another that likes to chew and then out the insides of toys too.  Sometimes the house looks like a paper or fluff bomb has gone off but it is just so funny too!!!  :005:  He also loves socks and even if my OH stuffs them so far down into the toes of his shoes, Bentley still manages to get them out much to OH's disgust  >:D (but if he will insist on putting them there and not putting them in the laundry - what is it with men???)

You have joined a great bunch of people - I have only been a member for a short while and am constantly amazed by how truly sincere the people are on here and soo helpful - is that what makes us all love cockers so much - maybe that is what the law of atraction means

:D Our usual walk is down Springwater Park or on Goschen fields, depends on who is coming with me.
