His name is Elvis and he is a Dachshund.

Congratulations on your new dog - I guess we can forgive you that he isn't a Cocker. :D

Is he a short haired or long haired ? Apparently the Long Haired Standard Dachshund came about by crossing the Smooth Haired with short legged Spaniels - so maybe Elvis has a bit of Spaniel in him after all. :D

I don't know how to do pics  :blink: but have some on Dog Pages of him  :P

He is a long haired standard with breed papers (bothered!) but we wonder if he may be a bit Beagle too as he is very big and his breeders also breed Beagles  :unsure:

Sorry - what i meant was,  was he one on the Shelter Helter rehoming site called Dylan ?  :D  as there is a picture on there of one :)  Not everyone keeps the name the same when the get a rescue :)

Sorry  :huh: I didn't change his name as we thought it was pretty cool. He was a private re-home via Dog Pages. He has Renal Failure and is a bit tubby too but we don't care cos we love him already  :D
