Things going not too bad with Holly. Apart from the occasional jump when I am not looking and the time taken having to cover up every jumpable surface before I go out, things are better than I thought. I took her bed down to the lounge and she seems to have got the message about being on it and not the chairs! She seems a little easier and is certainly limping less since the high dose steroids kicked in. Never thought that both my dogs would end up on steroids tho'. Funny life eh? I just have to be thankful that I have them both. It makes me shudder to think if they had been chosen by a less tolerant owner. I keep telling Chloe that she could have ended up chained to a gate somewhere because she is so expensive but all I get is the wonderfully perfected look that only cockers can do. You know, the 'pardon? Are you speaking to me?' look.... Anyway, when I picked Holly up, it was the senior vet nurse that gave me the diagnosis. On Friday when I take her back, it is the vet I see so I will ask all my questions then. I would have liked to have seen the vet when I picked Holly up but we had a really bad (and I mean bad) thunderstorm the night before and the vets were off their feet treating horse that had bolted into fencing and wire etc. I have to thank you all for your kind thoughts. I know it doesn't alter situations but when other people are caring about you and your pet, it makes life easier. Does that sound daft? Probably. lol.
