Loving Home Offered In Bedfordshire
« on: September 19, 2005, 11:01:04 PM »
Hello! Can anyone help?

We live in Bedfordshire, have 2 daughters, aged 3 and 8, and are looking for a Cocker Spaniel to join our family as we have lots of love to give.

I work part-time, 4 hours a day, so am home all afternoon to walk/play/train a dog!

We live in a detached house with large garden, and only 3 minutes walk from open fields. We also have a nature reserve only 10 minutes walk from our front door.   :D

If you know of any of a cocker (male or female) which needs a new loving home, and is (very importantly) child friendly, and preferably not too far away from us (as travelling too far with the children for a day is impractical), we would love to hear from you.  ;)

We have registered with our local cocker rescue and regularly scour the DogPages website, but any other ideas would be welcomed.  We have also registered with a few rescue centres!

Thanks for reading!

Rachel   :)

Hi and welcome to COL  :D

Cocker rescue is probably you're best bet.  Dogpages do get the odd one in from time to time as well, though they are usually snapped up very quick. Be patient, it will be worth the wait.

Good luck and keep us posted.   :D

Hello everyone,

Just to let you all know that we have just taken in a Rescue Springer X from Ireland - she is absolutely lovely with the children and although not my first love (a cocker is!) she is an absolute sweetie

Thank you for all that have replied to my post.  Maybe one day I'll be back looking for a cocker to go with my springer!

Rachel.  :D
