Does your baby follow you everywhere?
« on: May 13, 2004, 03:07:59 PM »
Hey all! My cocker spaniel Odie, who is about 18 months, follows me from room to room! And if I stop to tie my shoelaces along the way, he'll stop with me! He is always right beside me, like a shadow (maybe that would've been a good name for him!). Have a lot of you cocker owners noticed this as well?

Our Billy will follow anybody into the kitchen  but he will only follow his dad from room to room.

One of them does (she is suffering from separation anxiety). The others know better ;) (mummy doesn't like to be followed   ).

Toby follows me everywhere all the time. He also lies on my everytime I lie on the sofa and snuggles up to go to sleep. He's a big baby.

Alfie is getting better, but I have to say my Golden Retriever was just the same   My hubby used to say 'Me and my Shadow' if I moved out of the room, he was by my side. ( The dog not hubby)
I have tried to be more assertive with Alfie.......but failed miserably as he has such adorable eyes.
But..... I have managed to get him to sleep downstairs now without crying all night and he will stay in the room with hubby and the kids, if i tell him.. 'I'll be back!!'
Alfie, and Jay J. together over the Rainbow Bridge. Always in our hearts but dreadfully missed.

I am really beginning to think that I am a very very cruel mum. My dogs know the command "get lost". I hate them following me so I just tell them off. And they go to their beds and they sulk ..
