Ronnie is usually a big piggy, scavagin & always hungry etc...well..last couple of days he will eat breakfast & dinner but is not interested in treats, pigs ears, toast with jam (usually his fave) he just walks off? other day gave him pigs ear, thought it had gone & was pleased he was eating again, then found it hidden behind cushion on sofa...do you think he's ok? he was wormed 2 weeks ago

Hi jilly

Ronnie might have a stomach upset.  If he eats well he might not need any treats.
But, I see what you mean.  Bailey used to love dog biscuits.  Now he takes a biscuit into his mouth from me but then drops it on the floor as if saying I'm not eating that. He used to love cheese on toast but now hides them in the garden and brings them home when they look pretty rotten.  Silll won't eat them though.

The only treats he eats are cheese or blueberry muffins.  He'd do anything for them.

I would not worry if Ronny otherwise eats well.

Ronnie might just be having a sort of 'plateau' in his growth at the moment - both my Cockers have gone through really greedy patches and then I have worried because they turn their noses up at theur usual yums (they still do this from time to time, actually - I think they are spoiled brats and if they bury ONE MORE pigs ear under the sofa cushions - that's it!!)  Also with their food - for some reason they both decided they had 'gone off' sausages a while ago !

Sometimes, one sort of food loses its appeal, and changing over gradually to another might revive the appetite.  I have a bag of minced chicken in my freezer, and I can get a handful of that out and defrost it and zap it in the microwave, and they love that mixed in with their complete bisc.

if he eats his meals and doesn't have any vomits or stomach upsets, then it's seems to be passing a kind of a phase... puppies usually go through these...
Are his poos ok? If yes, then there is nothing to worry about :)
