Something I saw the other week may be of interest. Two cockers with their ears pinned up with lovely flowery hairbands from clairs accessories - gave them a rather gypsy look :) The owner said she preferred to use the bands as the snoods tended to aid and abet the usual cocker "deafness"

just read this string... Snood?? can anyone explain. The only snood I can think of is a bright red one which my sister wore in the 80's. I guess I must be barking up the wrong tree...

Hubby won't let me put snoods on the boys, you should see his face if I even mention such a thing!

Toni, a snood is a piece of cloth sewn in a tube shape with elasticated edges at both ends like this.
They are great for outdoors, in the summer for preventing grass seeds entering the ear canal, and in winter for keeping the ears dry.

As far as crispy ears are concerned - I use towelling hair bands on mine when they have their food  ;)

As for as crispy ears. I guess you already have the food bowls made for spaniels with high sides. Kyro tends to eat his food so fast it doesn't have time to get into his fur / ears.

Great bowls in theory but then Neo always drapes his across and into the water bowl, I don't think he ever has had dry ears for more then 5 minutes
