Hi _ I've just been reading your messages about Alfie and I am so pleased he is on the mend. Our dog Merry had a mast cell tumour, right next to his tail, when he was about three months old. We ended up having to take him to the Small Animal Hospital at Glasgow, where they decided to do a wider excision and stage him (I think). The care that he had at the hospital was fantastic and we were just told to check him routinely for any lumps. This happened at around this time last year - It's so worrying at the time, but he's come through it really well. We were told to put a babygrow vest thing on him to stop him getting at his stitches - which made him look really cute, like a kind of hairy bruce willis!
