I can safely say that after seeing him out on our walk today that Alfie is fine and dandy! The wee man was desperate to run around with everyone and went loopy for the short runs he got offlead!  :D

Mum to cockers Lily, Lance and Krumble and lurchers Arwen and Lyra. Hooman sister to Pepper, 13.

I know, god love him I felt so mean putting him back on the lead after 5 minutes. If he could talk he would have sounded like Kevin the Teenager  ph34r  I'm glad the bandage held though or I'd have been getting a right b*****king from the vet  ph34r  I think I used an entire roll of waterproof surgical tape.

Hmph. Lemme orf! I hate yoooooo!  >:(

Hi _ I've just been reading your messages about Alfie and I am so pleased he is on the mend.  Our dog Merry had a mast cell tumour, right next to his tail, when he was about three months old.  We ended up having to take him to the Small Animal Hospital at Glasgow, where they decided to do a wider excision and stage him (I think).  The care that he had at the hospital was fantastic and we were just told to check him routinely for any lumps.  This happened at around this time last year - It's so worrying at the time, but he's come through it really well.  We were told to put a babygrow vest thing on him to stop him getting at his stitches - which made him look really cute, like a kind of hairy bruce willis!  All of our very best wishes to you and your gang!

Thanks for that. That must have been so worrying for you with Merry only being 3 months old at the time  :o  I'm glad he is ok now though and thanks for your wishes for Alfie  :D
