I am soooo pleased that he's home and that it's not spread further. It can only get better from here on it and I'm sure it won't be long before he's back on his feet.  :luv:

Happy belated 2nd Birthday Alfie.  :luv:

Nows the time to make sure you give a little bit of time to your recovery too.  ;)

Thanks guys, he's doing well today, he's been out pottering around the garden a couple of times and he's walking ok. He's a bit skinny, even more so than usual so I'm trying to get him to eat as much as possible but his appetite's not quite back to speed just yet so we're doing little and often. He's sleeping a lot but when he's awake he seems happy enough so I just hope he continues like this.

Nicola

Just caught up with this.  I'm so, so pleased for you and for Alfie that the op went well, the tests are good...and he's home again.  I can only guess how awful this must have been for you.

Big hugs to Alfie (and to you)    .......  (((((((((((((((((((((((((((( :luv:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

He sounds as though he is doing really well. I would just enjoy the quiet as he is sleeping more than usual!!! It won't be long before he is back to normal.

Are you allowed to exercise him as much as normal or is he restricted?

It's supposed to be no exercise at all for a week, so that's until Friday and then just on lead until his wound has healed... whether or not that happens without either him or me going mad though is another matter  ph34r  I may just wrap his leg in 10 layers of cotton wool and bubble wrap or something  :005:
