Gracies Spots

My little Gracie has developed some little red spots on her tummy, ive been putting germolene on them and making sure she dosent lick at that for a couple of days and they have dried out and appear to be healing up nicely, has anyone else had problems like this?  Asked a vet some time ago and was told Germolene was fine to use on a dog as a first option to see if it works.
