Got up to the mountain top @ 2,750 masl knowing it would be a waste of time. No sooner had I unpacked the rucksack and got the binoculars out than a lady from a mountain restaurant called - Bobo had turned up at 09:30 this morning - very tired and hungry. That's 6km away and 1,200 m lower down. We've often been there, he followed his nose (and stomach).
She gave him two chopped sausages and some water, I arrived just over an hour later.
So after 4 days on his own in the mountains he had lost over 1kg, his rear paws were raw, and he was happy to see me.
He's been washed and is now sleeping the sleep of the true hunter.
Here's a pic after I saw him this morning.
