We're up for this now that Tilly's season seems finally to be coming to an end .  Sutton Park is in Sutton Coldfield - there are several gates and car parks.  I am over in the West Mids tomorrow visiting my parents, so I will check out which might be the most suitable entrance and take advice on some directions for you.  It's at least 10 years since I was last there and my memory is not so good!

Sundays are most suitable for us.

I think we need to agree on a date now, so how about 9th May as a starter for ten?

Who's interested?

I can't make 9th  :(  My husband works shifts and he is working the night of 8th and then again on 9th so it wouldn't be fair to expect him to watch the children during the day.
I can make 16th?

Pretty much any sunday in May is good for us so far, so whatever the majority are happy to do, we'll tag along! :)

Hi Kelly,

We are up for this on 16th.  Are we still thinking of Sutton Park?  I have a very old map of Sutton Park, but unfortunately it doesn't show the car-parks and it is so old I fear the Park may have chamged a lot since it was printed!  Maybe someone local can advise, or should we go somewhere else?

Yup I think we'd decided on Sutton Park
I've never been there, so have no idea on where the car parks are - can any one more local, or with more knowledge of the area give an idea of the best car park to meet in?
I have a 95 edition of the Birmingham AtoZ (upto date i know  ) and I can't see anything marked as 'car park' on it

It depends which direction you are coming from. All of the entrances to the park have areas to park cars. The nearest to me (I live not far from junction 7 of the M6) is the entrance at the junction of Banners Gate Road, Monmouth Drive and Chester Rd. Let me know which direction you are coming from and I can point you in the right direction. :D

Hi,

We are newcomers to this site, Thanks to meeting a lovely couple in Sutton Park who told us about it.  We would be very interested in meeting up for a Cocker Walk.  Are there any plans finalised?  We have a gold cocker spaniel named Amber.  Shes 15 months old.  It would be very good for her to socialise with other dogs.  Are there any other cocker spaniel owners whose dog collects stones?  If we try to take them off her she swallows them!  Would love to hear more about a midlands meet.

It was lovely to meet you in Sutton Park. :D  I'm hoping the 16th will still go ahead. Is this date still O.K for everyone?

Yep it's definately the 16th May - unfortunately we're not going to be able to make it this time though, even though we thought we were  :(

Kelly would you like us to change it to the weekend after that? Just a thought as it seems a shame you can't make it.

Hi,

Looking forward to the meet.  Have any of the details been finalised yet?  Such as meeting place and time?

Many Thanks
