Michael, I am so very sorry to hear such sad news, and so soon after losing your other dog.
Bentley's life may have only been a short one, but I'm sure he had more love than some dogs would ever have.
I hope you can still visit COL, we are here as a shoulder to lean/cry on if you need us.

thinking of you
Michele

Oh that is so sad Michael :(   Poor, poor Bentley :(   He was obviously very well loved and it's hard to imagine the void you must feel.  I'm sure you'll cherish those precious 3 months

I am so very sorry, I was shocked to read this and admit it made me cry.
At least you have the comfort of knowing that you gave him a happy, even though short life, filled with love.

Take care

Michael

I am so sorry to hear about Bentley - you will be shocked and devastated.  Take time to grieve and grieve properly - cry your eyes out for weeks if you want to.

Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately - many dogs do seem to manage to be perfectly fine when they have got something seriously wrong.

Going through two deaths with an old dog and a new dog in a short period of time is awful - I've been there.  However, always remember that Bentley had a lovely life - so many dogs don't.  Another dog deserves a lovely life with you.

Very best wishes

Helen

Again... thank you all!

it's been a rough past few days ... looking back we have decided that we wouldn't trade our 3 mos with Bentley for anything ..... We look at it as FATE: he wasn't going to live a very long life BUT being chosen by us the life he lead was very good, he didn't want for anything because we gave him EVERYTHING... and we hold that in high regard! Looking back we wouldn't change anything about him except his health issues ... this is an awesome site you all have here.... take pride in it!  :D

again thanksl!

That is such sad news to hear Mike and my heart goes out to you at this sad time.  I missed your original introduction and I revisited the link to it and thought the photos of Bentley show that he was a lovely puppy.
Fate has not been kind to you I'm afraid.
Thinking of you

I am so sorry - first for your loss - how terribly terribly sad, and then for not seeing this thread sooner - don't know how I missed it.

Makes you realise how lucky we are sometimes - you never know what cruel twist of fate may lie ahead.
