Hi Correna!  Nice to have you along!

Is this your first dog? Your first Cocker?  I only got my puppy a week ago so I can understand your excitement.  My only advice at this stage is get plenty of sleep because you might get some disturbed nights in the weeks ahead!!

How are the preparations going?  I did enjoy all the shopping!

Before I got Woody a week ago, my only experience with pets were two gorgeous boring old domesticated cats (not pedigrees like yours) who have had to take a bit of a back seat since our new arrival came on the scene.  We didn't have too many problems introducing them all although Woody will chase our girls, given half the chance!

We are lucky that we have a nice garden and a cat flap ... and the cats can run faster!

Good luck with the expanding family!!!

Any useful tips would be much appeciated

I'd say correna that when you next speak to your breeder ask her if she will let you have a little of the vet bedding or something which mum and litter have been lying on to take home with Bailey, I did this with both my dogs and do think they settle better after leaving mum as it will carry their scent on it
