Hi' I'm new.
« on: June 22, 2004, 07:48:04 PM »
Hi, I’m new to COL and have found a great deal of helpful information already.  I own two American cocker spaniels, both buff in color.  Riley will be 2 in August, and Shelly is 9 months old.  Same parents, but born a year a part, and boy are they different!  Riley never cried at night when we first brought him home, but Shelly cried for days.  Riley is very laid back and calm, and Shelly is just the opposite. I guess that comes with having a big brother!

I’ve read quite a bit, and its good to see that there are other owners out there with pet problems similar to mine.

Maria, Blue and baby Bailey,

Will try real soon to post a picture.  This is pretty new to me.  It took me a few weeks just to post an introduction!

Thanks for making me feel welcome!

Lovely to "meet" you.  We don't see many American cockers where we live, but I'm not sure about the rest of th UK.  Hope you enjoy the site.
Love Becky, Danny and Ollie!

Hi Donna!

Welcome to you and your lovely dogs!

I have 2 cockers, Molly who is 2 and a half, she's a blue roan and Evie who is 5 months and chocolate and tan.

At first I thought they were quite similar in character, Molly is very attached to me, quite obedient, very loving and kind, whereas Evie is quite independant, very naughty    needs checking all the time ( but she's still a baby so she has an excuse ) but she still loves a cuddle with her mummy   Look forward to hearing your stories about Riley and Shelly!

Hi Donna and welcome to COL!!  Glad you found us!

We are currently enjoying our first ever Cocker - Woody who is just 10 weeks old.  My husband was discussing our second dog last night ( ) which was news to me!!  I told him that it was a bit early to be thinking about getting another one!!  This is the lovely husband who has just gone abroad for three days and left me to cope with Woody on my own!!!     Hence the reason I have been up since 6am and am logging on here stupidly early!!!

I feel like a real "mum" - just gone through the birth and already husband is talking about number 2!!  Let's get Woody housetrained and then maybe I'll think about it!!!   :D

Welcome to COL Donna

We have a 9 year old labrador and an 11 week old cocker.
Our gentle lab is so very patient with our enthusiastic, biting whirlwind little girl :D

We don't see American cockers around here, but I think they are very cute.

Welcome to COL Donna :D
Americans are gorgeous aren't they, very elegant, though probably just as naughty as their english cousins
I have an 11 week old blue roan called Silas.
lots of woofs n' licks,

Welcome Donna from the US! :D  You are right about cockers all being different - my 5 have very individual characters.  I guess it is like people really - we're all different.
