Sable cockers

I have totally fallen for Teun  :luv: ...are sables bred in the UK? ....not that I am having any more ........well not just yet eh  :005:

Yes they are bred in the UK but you'd have to save a lot of pennies up as the breeders that have them here seem to charge a premium for a sable pup ;) You'll find some previous threads on sables if you do a search on here - we've had quite a few I think.

Do I understand right.. are sable cocker's more expensive than for example blueroan or golden? Is that because they are rare?

You'll find some previous threads on sables if you do a search on here - we've had quite a few I think.

We pay 900 euro's, just as any other cockerpupster in Germany (where teun comes from) and the Netherlands

Hi there, sable cockers are quite rare to sell to the pet home. I know of one breeder who breeds them and tries to sell to show homes only if possible. If they do sell them I think that they are about £1,000. Have a friend who breeds sable American cockers and they are totally gorgeous too! Good luck with your search. Jenny

I paid £700 for a very well bred, show cocker.

Most go for £500 to £800

We paid 750 euro for the privilige of taking puppy Toby home about a year and a half ago. Would be 675 pounds current exchange rate.
Breeder is a member of the "Nederlandse Spanielclub" (An association of the Dutch Kennelclub) and adheres to its regulations.

Perhaps he was cheaper because he was a bit on the small side ph34r
