If Chappie - the really cheappie dog food, do a dry kibble diet?

Rufus has had a really upset tum and has been to the vet, for an injection, I seem to remember being told Chappie was a great food for a dog following an upset tum.

I'd be grateful of any advice here. He's been on a light diet - boiled rice, pasta with fish or chicken, but I'd like to know your views.

Thanks Jx

Thanks for that Mrs B. He seems to have improved a bit since the vet gave him the injection, but he looks so scraunny. He'll need built up over a few weeks I guess. I've to take him up to the surgery during the week to have him weighed.

Apparently there were loads of dogs took this bug around here, and with Ruffy being such a mooch it was inevitable I suppose.

So far Vahri hasn't shown any signs of it - fingers crossed.

Thanks again

Jx

Smashin' thanks.

Another question - does anyone know where I can get something for mumps?

Started New Years Eve, with what I thought was flu - had to see the emergency doc today, and they suspect mumps!!

I've to see my own GP next week, once the worst is over ( I hope) for a blood test to confirm.

Not the best festive season ever!! Feel ing very, very rough.

Its that long ago since mine had the mumps Janice i can't remember    didn't the Doctor give you anything at all? i would ring your own GP and ask for advice.
I hope your feeling better soon, and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Take care.

Sorry to hear that you're ill too Janice
- I think that Jed may have exactly the same tummy upset - he's not too bad but has had upset tummy for a couple of days and we were just discussing whther a vet trip is in order...
(Listers, Janice lives "just down the road" from me)

Best wishes

Jed's mummy, living in Milngavie.

Thanks guys - I'm more swollen today, but not just quite so ghastly - does that make sence.

Alison - Ruffy was ill right before Christmas, so I done all the usual things, but each time I thought he was on the mend he got worse.

The vet said of the 5 appoints in the previous hour 4 of them had been this tummy upset thing.

He has finally settled, but he looks like he's lost a lot of weight. I've to take him back to be weighed, but that won't happen till next week now - Pete is on back shift   .

Hope wee Jed is on the mend - poor wee sausage, he'll be starving. Ruffy was crying for food at one point, felt like a real brute

Unfortunatley Kim, there is a mumps "outbreak" at the moment, particulary rife in the university communities (must be all that snogging  )

Hope your feeling better soon Janice :)
