Ruben And Elle Misbehaving
« on: October 03, 2005, 05:47:03 PM »
Hi all

Elle is 2 and a half and Ruben is 9 months, both working type cocker spaniel
breeds with endless energy.Ive noticed lately when they play fight together
it gets really rough normally charging into one another like bulls or hanging
onto each others ears and biting them or pulling them along,no blood drawn but
they have to be seperated otherwise every so often it worries me just how rough they are to each other, obviously there is some pecking order here that has to be
established but is this normal behaviour.

Also any ideas to stop chewing if i give Ruben new bedding he destroys it along
with the beds i buy them both there is no way i could give him a soft bed as it
would be chewed overnight along with any soft toys.He has kongs and other
more resistant toys but he tends not to play with them for long.Ive tried spray and
short muzzle periods but i dont really think its a solution.Ive bought a plastic bed which he has chewed through but i am recluctant to replace it.He is just a puppy
so will i just have to give him more time to grow up and grow out of it.
