Could the shoulder joint be popping in and out by itself which is why it's intermittent?
The joint is not dislocating when he is awake - she tried to do it while he was still slightly drowsy but coherant again
But the joint has a lot of excess free movement. He wakes up very stiff after a sleep but it improves once mobile. After running around the problem also comes back - so playfighting and excercise are being kept to a minimum. He will be put on a new joint medication - don't know what it is called - to help prevent arthritic problems. Much better news than displasia - and hopefully with more muscle strength the problem will rectify itself
without any long term damage.
